Nightmare on Beat Street

A horror rhythm game...

You're trapped at the center of a haunted dance party, surrounded by foul creatures hoping to pull you into the murky depths below. Your sole defense is to DANCE. It's the only thing that keeps the beasts from reaching you and ripping you limb from limb.  

Nightmare on Beat Street is a horror rhythm game inspired by DDR, Thriller, and '80s horror movies. It was made in 1 week for the 2023 Scream Jam.

GAMEPLAY
• Match rhythm arrows to destroy creatures.
• Score combos to heal and vanquish foes.
• Dance as long as you can.

CONTROLS
• Use arrow keys or WASD keys to match rhythm arrows. When the scrolling arrow is OVER the arrow outline, press the correct key (left, right, up, down) to match the arrow and destroy an enemy.
• Arrow buttons are for use on mobile devices and can be shown or hidden.
